Currently, some Russian firms have their own factories in China.

For example, the brand “Cosmos” (flashlights, batteries, electronics) is known to everyone.

Vietnam is also a good place to open such enterprises.

Two major factors contributing to the cheapness of manufactured products are: first – the labor force is cheaper than in China, the second – a warm climate, which means that the production facilities do not require heating.

Nevertheless the cost of shipping products is more expensive from Vietnam to Russia than from China.

Vietnamese produce some goods better, than Chinese: shirts, beer, and furniture.

In Vietnam, there is small skilled labor force, as well as engineers – Vietnamese go to West countries to learn economics, finance and law.

Its educational base for training of technicians is weak. In this regard, it is smarter to invite one or two technical specialists from Russia (as more and more Russians are looking for work in Vietnam).

Currently, the law of Vietnam allows to employ no more than 3% of foreigners of the total number of staff. On the other hand, Vietnam is a country with young population and absenteeism due to ill health is less there.
